Romance

They say some relationships start out on the wrong foot, and no where is this more true than these two, who started out on shaky ground (pun intended). Especially considering their first meeting concluded with Lance trying to kill Kitty's parents. Still, for inexplicable reasons, the two have become much closer in the second season of Evolution, especially after the soccer game, where Lance saved Kitty's life (refer to deleted scenes) and also when Lance joined the X-Men. It was after the events in Day of Reckoning that Kitty felt betrayed by Lance and realized that as long as they are on opposing teams their relationship would not work. The two exchanged harsh words, and their relationship was split.

It seemed as though they each still had feelings for the other, as Lance risked his life to help the X-Men once or twice. This was never more obvious then when the Brotherhood came to help Kitty and Wanda fight Magneto in Ascension. As the boys arrive Lance is shocked and upset to find Kit unconscious. He rushed to her side and buried Magneto beneath tons of rubble. After the fight he helped Kitty to her feet and the two spent literally the rest of the show in each others arms. We can only assume that the two have realized how much they love each other and have decided that being together is more important than any of their differences.
